Why visit Poovar
Poovar is a small village near Kerala’s southern tip, about 30 km from Trivandrum, where the Neyyar River meets the backwaters and the sea. Boat rides through mangrove-lined channels lead to the golden sand bar of Poovar beach, and floating cottages and island resorts make it a peaceful add-on to a Kovalam or Trivandrum stay.
