Why Munnar is Kerala’s favourite hill station
Munnar sits about 1,600 m up in the Western Ghats, wrapped in tea estates that roll over every hillside. Most Kerala tour packages spend one or two nights here for Eravikulam National Park (home of the Nilgiri tahr), Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, the Tata Tea Museum and viewpoints such as Top Station and Lockhart Gap. Cool evenings and misty mornings make it the perfect contrast to a night on an Alleppey houseboat.
