Why add Marari Beach to a houseboat trip

Marari Beach, at Mararikulam just north of Alleppey, is a long stretch of soft sand backed by coconut palms and fishing villages, with far fewer crowds than Kerala’s better-known beaches. Many guests spend a night at a beach resort here before or after an Alleppey houseboat, since the jetties are only about 30–40 minutes away.
