A speedboat run on the open lake

Fast, loud and short — the one thing nobody comes to Alleppey for and everybody enjoys.

What it actually is

Speedboats keep to the wide open water of the lake rather than the narrow village canals. You get spray, speed and a very different view of the houseboats you have been watching drift by all day.

It is a short burst rather than a sightseeing trip, which is exactly why teenagers love it. Ride length depends on the route agreed when you book.

Questions, answered

Everyone wears a life jacket, the crew drives, and the ride stays on open water.

Children can ride with an adult and a life jacket. Tell us their ages and we will advise.

No. Speedboats stay on the open lake; for the narrow canals, take a shikara or a kayak.

Rides do not run in heavy rain or strong wind. We move it to another time or refund the ride.
